Who are we?	Picture this… www.ptff.org is an international disability film festival. It is a non-profit annual event initiated by the Community Development department of Calgary Scope Society, a registered non-profit society. There are a few members of staff and many volunteers who work year round to bring the festival to the public.
What do we want?	1.Films that focus on any area of disability culture. Or 2. Films on any subject that are produced, directed and/or written by a person(s) with a disability. Entries, in English or sub-titled in English (due to funding limitations), from around the world are welcome.
Why do we do it?	Media festivals are usually “good time” events. We want everyone to participate in this event and feel they have been entertained, learned something new or have a greater understanding of disability culture. We also want to connect with other communities around the world making it possible to gain a global understanding of what’s happening with disability culture.

Why should I enter my film/video in your festival?	Picture this… is both a competitive and exhibition festival. So, you may enter your film to compete for an award and your work becomes available to a wider audience. Many people use the film contact information on the festival web site to purchase entries and all entries are asked to be part of the Picture this…video library (most films are available) which helps films reach an even wider audience.
How do you make my work available to a wider audience?	In three ways: All award winners and honourable mentions are automatically screened during the festival. Other entries may also be screened in one of the festivals themed programs. Your entry (if you ticked the video library box on the entry form) is available in the Picture this… video library allowing anyone who is interested an opportunity to see your film. We publish information on your film in our festival program and on the Picture this… web site.
How much does it cost to enter a video or film?	There is NO entry fee to submit your work to Picture this... film festival. Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions about Entries page to find out all about our entry process.
What format should I use for my entry?	DVD format that is playable in North America (region 1) Video tape should be Beta SP, DV, D8 SVHS or VHS. VHS entries may be in NTSC or SECAM. All other video tape formats – NTSC only.
