Jean Adrian

“I have volunteered for the past four years with Picture this…film festival, and I look forward to continuing for many years to come. Volunteer shifts and times are flexible and what a great opportunity to work with an excellent group of organizers and volunteers, many of whom are facing challenges of their own. The festival itself provides a huge amount of information on a variety of difficulties, solutions and victories of individuals living and working within today’s society. I find that on the whole, I gain much more than I give during the week of the festival.”

I received a phone call in January 2004 from a woman, who had come across the Picture this…  number, wanting to volunteer with the festival and amazingly she could volunteer for the whole week. Jean showed up the first day bright and early with a big smile on her face. Jean is our volunteer Martha Stewart, she brings amazing home made cookies in big Tupperware containers and makes fabulous chocolate birthday cake! Jean has continued to volunteer with us every year and every year it feels like family getting together. She is a very special person and we are lucky to have her as part of our team.
