Using special and digital effects and hosted by kids, the video shows many different types of assistive technology available for various disabilities, how they work and how to use them. The video will show that something as simple as a tape recorder can be used as an assistive device. Many devices, such as eye blink, voice activated and ribbon switches, JAWS computer programs, head mouse and communication boards as well as a van modified for use by a paraplegic are covered. Many of the devices and how they work are explained to the hosts by the people that use them. Segments are prefaced with a 'Here is how it works' segment.
